This website is intended to be a resource for Storytellers who want to set their Chronicle in the UK in current day.

The Chronicle that will be presented here was originally created for my beloved D&D group who wanted to try Vampire the Masquerade for the first time. We all found our way clumsily through the V5 rules including me as storyteller but the events that unfolded and the stories we told were incredibly memorable for our party. Some even came to realise that Vampire was their favourite RPG.

Originally the story was called a Bone of Contention but it later became renamed “To Sleep Perchance to Dream” inspired by the famous William Shakespeare line. It explored the state of London, specifically Croydon, which was mysteriously maintaining a Camarilla presence despite London being dominated by the Second Inquisition. A simple investigation of a deal gone sour, a heist and a murder would unravel into a larger conspiracy before the players eyes. It served as a great introduction to the World of Darkness for my players and as a great launching point for a true sandbox Vampire game. We also played a second Chronicle set in Bristol, which explored the consequences of the events that occurred in London. Vampire really lends itself beautifully to open play but sometimes needs a starting story to get things rolling.

This resource will initially include all the key NPCs, within the Camarilla areas of Croydon, Warwickshire and West Midlands, as well as Anarch locations and NPCs for Bristol in the SouthWest. In addition there will be some further material for the Second Inquisition and their interest in those locations.

The 1st chronicle 8 part series unedited can be found here, be warned, it is rough and ready but if you want to pick over it for story ideas feel free. The plan long term is to create a book of this content on the Storyteller’s Vault, it may not entirely align with official Canon in all areas but I will do my best to ensure it fits. Of course you are always welcome to change anything you wish to fit your own World of Darkness.

Thanks for showing an interest.

Matt.
