The United Kingdom is shrouded in a rich History for Kindred and Kine alike, the nations have seen a great deal of turmoil and change over the past ten years. Four countries that once had influence covering half of the world is now inward looking and insular, isolated even from one even from one another.
England
London
The capital fell to the Second Inquisition in 2012 and largely remains in that state as the 2I consolidate their power. Queen Anne is missing assumed dead although some Camarilla vampires hope she is simply hidden, building her strength and biding her time.
The Camarilla has made very little ground in recovering the richest feeding grounds in all of the UK. The 2I maintain an iron grip, increasing surveillance, openly patrolling and recently introducing body scanners in key strategic locations to detect supernatural. Airports and docks are largely off-limits for Kindred.
A single London Borough, Croydon, somehow has held under Camarilla control. In recent years avoided all 2I raids. The apparent abilit y of the Prince Zee Cross to predict 2I attacks means all eyes are upon them, friend and foe alike. What is their secret, many would like to know and control that power for themselves. Sadly the apparent safety has attracted other kindred and the borough now supports too many kindred for its population.
Warwickshire and the West Midlands
The largest remaining Camarilla domain in the UK is still firmly under Camarilla Control, an anachronistic Tremere Prince, Sebastian Markov, spent decades politically ousting the previous Ventrue power structure prior to the fall of London. The polluted air of the industrial cities of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry are firmly under Kindred control but the rural areas of Warwickshire are a stark contrast.
Across the rolling countryside of Warwickshire Lupine’s stalk their sworn enemies unchecked and even venture into the smaller towns and villages to eliminate the taint of Kindred from their territory when they catch the scent.
2nd Inquisition patrols have started to appear around Birmingham in recent years, raising concern that 2I look to expand Northwards and repeat their success in London in England’s second city.
Manchester and Liverpool
Although in the mortal world there is great rivalry between Manchester and Liverpool the Northwest for Kindred sits under Anarch influence. A track-suited gangster Brujah Baron Harry Gallagher holds the reigns. Racketeering is the order of the day, the domain bolstered by the cash of many businesses some legit but many illegal. Within up and coming urban jungles, the Brujah Anarchs assert their world view, encouraging free thought, individual expression, and resistance against the oppressive structures of vampire and kine society. The best way to do this is to take their money, thus taking their power.
Thin bloods are welcomed here for blood alchemy makes potent narcotics to ensnare the mortals.
York
York like the UK, has a history of invasion. Most famously the viking invasion of York 866AD led by Ivar The Boneless. Renamed to Jorvik the resulting trade routes saw both vampire and werewolf migration from Scandinavia. Amongst those visitors a number of Sabbat kindred rose up and made York a stronghold. York rejects the traditions of the Camarilla and embraces their monstrous nature. Led by a vicious and cunning Archbishop Leif Sturges, the Sabbat in York operate with brutal efficiency, seeking to tear down the established order and usher in a new era of chaos and freedom. The city’s winding streets, haunted alleys, and imposing architecture provide the perfect backdrop for the Sabbat’s dark rites and unholy crusades.
South West, Devon and Cornwall
Devon and Cornwall, is no place for Kindred nor has it ever really been in unliving memory. Wild and free, with few cities and vast moors and coastline the Lupines roam free and have zero tolerance of Wyrm tainted beings.
Changlings of both courts haunt the forgotten places too, a last stronghold of the Dreaming that they will do anything to hold onto their world. A handful of Gangrel and Nosferatu are tolerated but neither Camarilla or Anarch hold any real sway here and thus sabbat attacks often are seen here unopposed by other Kindred.
Bristol
The City of Bristol is a unique place however, the mortals are open minded and accepting of ideas alien to the rest of the island. Bristol itself has a heavy Ministry presence, with strong narcotic industries and the base of King Breweries in the UK.
Scotland
Edinburgh and Glasgow
For kindred Scotland’s key cities are Edinburgh it’s capital and Glasgow. Edinburgh is a lively and culturally significant city, that a rich history in the arts, engineering and . remains staunchly Camarilla but Glasgow is an Anarch stronghold at this time and growing in influence and power.
The Camarilla’s hold on the city is strong, and maintaining their dominance becomes an ongoing struggle especially with Anarch domain of Glasgow pushing for Scotland to sever ties with the Camarilla.
The West of Scotland is a rugged majestic landscape where prowling lupines protect their sacred Cairns from any that would approach.
Inverness
Inverness is a city on Scotland’s northeast coast, where the River Ness meets the Moray Firth. It’s the largest northern city in the Scottish Highlands. Its Old Town features 19th-century Inverness Cathedral, the 18th-century Old High Church and an indoor Victorian Market. Neither Camarilla or Anarch stake claim at this time, the closeness to the true wilder parts of Scotland bring real risks of interactions with other supernatural beings.
Northern Ireland,
Belfast
The Mortal Politics of Northern Ireland are as complex as Kindred politics and have divided Kine and Kindred alike. The mortals however have no idea of the true rulers of the city of Belfast.
3 Hecata families, the O’Sullivans, the Gavestons and the Dohertys’ claim Belfast as their own, creating an intricate power dynamic, a city in turmoil where even the dead aren’t safe. The fabled Blood Market conceals itself within long forgotten catacombs that sprawl beneath a decaying urban metropolis, what is actually sold there is unknown outside of the Hecata and access to other clans is rare.
Wales
Cardiff and Newport
To the West, the proud Nation of Wales, the Camarilla still hold power in the Southern City of Cardiff and surrounding towns, support however is waning. Anarchs have their eyes and seek to oust the Camarilla’s Prince Edmund and a number of attempts have already failed.
The Camarilla, the Anarchs from their seat in Newport, and even the Sabbat vie for control, the region is on the brink of becoming a battleground for dominance.
Beyond the vampire politics, other supernatural creatures presence known in Cardiff. Werewolves prowl the Welsh wilderness, especially in the North where Kindred presence is usually short lived. The Lupines protect sacred territories and battling against forces that threaten the natural balance of things.
